Mint Ice Cream Notepad

This notepad has an ice cream cone from the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge.  I embossed the ice cream before adding a cherry on top!  It looks delicious and will be entered into the Card Creations Challenge (Doodlecharms Image).

Birthday Card

I used an old sketch and flopped the colors to make this present card.  I also used the present border punch I found on clearance after Christmas.  The gift is from Doodlecharms, and it was embossed with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder.  The card will be entered in the Cooking with Cricut challenge (Birthdays).

Sweet Treat

The ice cream cone is from the Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge and embossed with the D'Vine swirls folder.  The pink accent is embossed with the spots and dots folder.  This card fulfills the following challenges: Fantabulous Cricut Challenge (sweet treat using a Cricut cartridge), My Time to Craft (spots and dots), Jitterbuggin Challenge (brown, white, and one other color plus a bow), and the Paper Cutz Challenge (Your Choice).

Card Exchange

I participated in the Holy Cricut birthday and Valentine's Day card exchanges.  Here are my designs:

If you want to join in the fun, the Valentine's Day exchange is still open!

Birthday Bash

I was inspired by the Skipping Stones Design sketch and Scrappy Mom's Birthday Bash challenge.  The birthday hat is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge, and the white is embossed with the Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder.  "Happy Day" is from Stampin' Up.  I added some sparkle with glitter in the yellow ribbon, on the hat, and with the five dots under the ribbon to join Cooking with Cricut's "Glitter Mania" challenge.

Snow Fun

Momo's challenge is to make a card with a snow theme.  I used my Cuttlebug to emboss blue paper with snowflakes and paired it with snowflake paper.  The red ribbon also has snowflakes.  You can never have enough snow :)  The snowman is from the Doodlecharms cartridge.

Latest & Greatest

I was just thinking about how far I have come in designing cards over the past year.  Crafty Cardmakers was reading my mind when they posted the challenge to upload your oldest and newest cards.  The left card is my Christmas card from 2009.  I thought it was great with the red borders and ribbon that matched the tree from the clip art off my computer.  Shortly after this card was made, my husband bought me a Cricut for Christmas.  The right card shows what I've done with my Doodlecharms cartridge, a stamp, brads, and a unique cut of the background paper for Christmas 2010.

Hot Cocoa Card

We had a blizzard hit our area today, so I finished making some Christmas gifts.  I made several of these cards with a surprise packet of hot chocolate inside for friends.  The card is similar to a matchbook.  The snowman is from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge, and the stamp is from Stampin' Up.  It is hard to tell, but the ribbon has snowflakes on it.  This card fits the Fabulous Cricut challenge (hand made gift with a Cricut image [snowman]) and Paper Cutz (Use a Snowman).  I was inspired by this get well card by CG

2010 Christmas Card

As time passes, my cards are becoming more complex.  I was very pleased with how these Christmas cards turned out, but it took more time to make for my entire list of family and friends than I anticipated.  It was worth the time and effort!  The reindeer is from Create a Critter, and the tree is from Doodlecharms.  The right flap is held closed with a brad and ribbon.

The inside of the card has a pocket with a change of address card.  This card will be entered into the Paper Cutz Challenge to use two kinds of patterned paper and Alphabet Challenge Blog F is for Foilage (Christmas Tree).

Watermelon Card

This card was entered into the Skipping Stones Design layout challenge #50 and Fantabulous Cricut challenge #35 to use green and a circle from a Cricut cartridge.  The circle is from the New Arrival cartridge, and the watermelon is from the Doodlecharms cartridge.  The green ribbon matches closer than the photo shows and pulls out the green from the watermelon, while the dots emphasize the seeds.

Yummy Cupcake!

I purchased some confetti paper a few months ago with the intention of making a cupcake with it.  The challenge at My Creative Time was exactly what I needed -  make a card with food.  Perhaps it was a good thing that I let my ideas brew for a few months because I love how this card turned out!  I made the cupcake from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge, but I cut off the candle and added a purple brad as the "cherry" on top.  The bottom of the cupcake has vertical lines embossed with my Scor-Buddy, and the background was embossed with the Fiskars filigree texture plate, which also fits Crafty Cardmakers and Made by Momo's challenges to emboss.  "Best wishes" was cut from the Alphalicious Cricut cartridge.

Snowman Card

I made this card using layered vellum and blue snowflakes secured with silver brads.  The snowman and snowflakes are from the Doodlecharms Cricut cartridge.  This card is being entered into the Cute Card Thursday challenge #137 to use vellum and Cricut Cardz Challenge #49 to make a Christmas card that starts with the letter "S" (snowman, snowflakes).
